Cremation Placement
Glen Forest believes that everybody deserves a final resting place that their loved ones can visit and reflect as part of the healing process of grief. With cremations on the rise nationally, we are seeing more people left wondering what to do with the ashes of their loved ones.Glen Forest has invested in several cremation developments from niches in a monument plaza to a natural burial in a field of prairie grass or a scattering of ashes in a memorial garden.
Burial Options
Glen Forest is unique not just for welcoming of everyone, but in the different options we have for burials. For those that want to be interred below ground, we offer lots and spaces next to wooded areas with views of the cemetery and surrounding neighborhoods. From the most historical sections of our cemetery to the newest, we have something for every budget and every family.
Green Burial
One of our newest offerings is Green Burial at Glen Forest Cemetery. We have set aside an area of our cemetery that can support those wishing for a more natural state of disposition with a focus on protecting the environment. This is the only area of the cemetery that where we do not require vaults and embalming is prohibited. Caskets must be made of a quickly decomposing material such as wicker and cannot contain any metal material.
